Ladies - Please Join Us for Women's Little Christmas!

Saturday, January 6th, 10 am - 12 pm
Chesterton Academy of St. Louis
12934 Marine Ave., St. Louis, MO 63146

Ladies 8th grade and up are invited to a morning of rest and relaxation after the business of the holidays. Our Women's Little Christmas is modeled after the Irish celebration of Nollaig na mBan (pronunciation Null-ug na Mon) Translated from Irish (Gaelic) as "Women's Christmas," this is one of Ireland's biggest traditions and is observed on January 6.

On this day, women traditionally get a much-needed rest after catering to everyone during the holiday festivities. In rural and small-town Catholic Ireland, especially, women would gather in each other’s homes or local pubs for a few stolen hours of gaiety while the men looked after the brood. January 6 is the Feast of the Epiphany, marking the end of the 12 days of Christmas, giving way to the 'Little Christmas' nickname.
